The next event was our trip into a ‘secret’ bay (Chris, I promise not to tell anyone!) about 50 km south of here. We had two groups of travelers, the day trippers and the overnighters….we were in a group of 5 vehicles for a day trip to do some kayaking in this beautiful bay. Unfortunately it was windy and the kayaking was not as good as it could be. We did manage to paddle against wind and waves to this beautiful beach – yes it was worth the paddle.
This morning we took a guided nature hike– we spent a couple of hours learning more about the local plants, trees, cactus, shrubs….and how some adapt to survive in the desert. Lots of great information; thanks to our leader Debra.
