More about nothing!

It's really hard to write about nothing!  We are busy every day but what are we doing??? nada....well that's what it seems like.  John has read more books than ever, I am busy with craft classes (graduated to basket weaving 201!) walking every morning and the usual beach life chores.

A windy hike - Court, Steve & John hike up the mountain at the end of our beach.  John is replacing the flag, and checking on his geocache. There have been a few visits in the last year.

Valentines dinner - a nice night out at our favorite spot - Bertha's Restaurant - Karen entertained us with flute music through dinner.

What do you think? was it the flute music that put John to sleep???
OR
one tequila, two tequila, three tequila - you know the rest.........

Salute - with our desert cups....yummy end to dinner.

Next post will be much more interesting - hopefully!

the Shell Game

The Shell Game - a new version

First you jump in the inflatable (on a rare calm day) head to another beach about 45 minutes away (which is a very long time in a tiny inflatable) presto - you arrive at a spectacular beach that is perfect for collecting shells.

Next step is an off road trip - only 6 km - about 30 minutes over a very bumpy dusty road...to :Punta Chevato

------ another beautiful beach, again perfect for shell collecting!

A stop at the Los Flores Hotel for refreshments before we head back home.

Now the work begins - first cleaning and sorting....

 Artfully arranging the collection.......

The finished project.........

How about a hug?

The Ice-cream truck on a hot afternoon - smiling faces line up for their turn.

More of the same......

Here is a little more about our trip to La Paz - a peek at the windy road through the mountains!

A map of the area I am referring to.

The sights you see along the way!! yup it's a cow being transported in the back of a pick up truck.
Now a bit of daily life -

Yoga on the beach

Nan sharing Mimosas for her birthday...

Palapa repairs

Emillio delivering water

Shopping at the front door

Night out on the town! Dinner at a nearby Palapa Restaurant

Now you know why we are all smiling! (well except John!)
our bartender, Manual

New friends!  bobbleheads...
Sometimes you just have to get silly!!

A very still and close glide by in the kayak - this Great Blue Heron stands very still for the photo
It's been a very quiet couple of weeks.  A few birthdays, pot luck dinners, happy hours, that about sums up the rest of the days.
